Programs and Tours

The Jefferson County History Center and the JCHS “Scripture Rocks” Heritage Park welcome school and Scout groups and other organizations and clubs. We accommodate all ages, children to adults, and disabled individuals. We offer both guided and self-guided tours. Guided tours provide a behind-the-scenes experience of the exhibits. JCHC also conducts walking tours of Historic Brookville and cemetery tours.

A variety of specialized programs at various venues include Archaeology sites and Native Americans of the county and western PA, the Civil War and the story of Douglas Stahlman, the engraver of the boulders at Heritage Rocks Park, and interesting stories of Jefferson County people, places, and events.

The Jefferson County History Center also maintains a list of speakers who can discuss a variety of topics relative to local and period history, either at our properties or your venue. Contact us for a detailed list of subjects—or we can tailor a program for a specific event.

Groups are required to submit the Group Tour Form at least 4-6 weeks prior to your visit.

An appropriate honorarium to JCHC is typical and welcomed.
