Jefferson County History Center announces our new Spring Adult Educational Programming series: Window to the Past: Hidden Histories & Stories of Jefferson County.
Coming up May 14th – “Echoes of Iron” – Archaeology at the Frazier Sawmill and Blacksmith Shop presented by archaeologists Brian Fritz and Amanda Valko.
This was a 20-year project at Clear Creek State Park uncovering the Frazier Sawmill and associated blacksmith shop, supported by Clear Creek State Park.
Brian also filmed and edited a short documentary of the project. Come by and learn a little fascinating history of our19th century lumbering era.
This presentation is FREE to the public and will be held at the Heritage House,
4 Sylvania St., Brookville. Presentation begins at 7PM. Light refreshments will be served.
