6th Annual Rails to Trails Family Bicycle Poker Run

On September 22nd, the 6th Annual Rails to Trails Bicycle Poker Run invited people of all ages for a leisurely 7 mile ride from Brookville to Summerville. The cyclists rode along the Redbank Creek, ending at the Summerville “Train Station” pavilion for a picnic. Along the trail, adults could pick up cards at five locations; best hand and worst hand won prizes in the adult category. Kids participated in trailside games where they also won prizes.

For the event, we also raffled off an EBIKE – An Aventon “Level.2” (Class 2) Cruiser that we acquired from Mudbeards Bikes & Boards in Ridgeway.

PRIZE WINNERS:

Best Hand was won by Ryan Radaker of Clarion. Worst Hand was awarded to Larry Yeager of Ohio, who was in town visiting his cousins. Both prize packages were worth over $200.
For Kids, prizes were given to Elementary (Grades 1-6), and High School (Grades 7-12). Elementary Winners: Haley Lucas of Brookville and a tie between Adley Dotts of Punxsutawney and Julian Masters of Brookville. High School Winners: Anna and Vasily Efremenko from Sigel.
The Ebike was won by Janet Swim of Boalsburg who bought her raffle tickets from JCHC at the Elk Expo this year.

Thank you all for riding. See you next year!
