JCHC Presents Free Education Program by Teacher Ambassador for the National WWII Museum
Jefferson County History Center presents their 3rd Public Education Series for Fall 2025 on Wednesday, November 12th at 6:30 PM at the Heritage House, 4 Sylvania St., Brookville.
The presentation will be “Shadows of History: A Visual Exploration of Germany’s Nazi Past” presented by Dr. Joe Harmon, Redbank Valley High School History Department Teacher for 21 years. He is also a Co-Advisor, National Honor Society, and Youth Council Advisor. Dr. Harmon resides in Redbank Valley with his wife and children.
Dr. Harmon serves as a Teacher Ambassador for the National WWII Museum in New Orleans and is a member of Echoes & Reflections Holocaust Education’s Teacher Advisory Group. During his career, Dr. Harmon has been named the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh’s Teacher of the Year and was named Pennsylvania History Teacher of the Year. Most recently, he was selected by the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh as one of ten “Righteous Among the Neighbors” for his work with Holocaust education.
